Do I need an XML search engine sitemap?
An XML Sitemap file is a code placed in the root directory of your website which captures all the crucial information about your website, facilitating the crawling and indexing process for Google, Yahoo and Bing.
In other terms, an XML Sitemap file communicates all the pertinent information about your website which is reviewed during the indexing procedure by the top three search engines (Google, Yahoo and Bing). Without a XML Sitemap file, Google (for example) will need to crawl through your pages one at a time, which is not only a slower process but yields less accurate results.
At APE Interactive, as part of our SEO process, we can help you develop, implement and submit your XML Sitemap files to the major search engines.
